Clearinghouse For Volunteer Accounting Services
You are solely responsible for the engagement you may accept with an Organization that is listed on the CVAS Web Site. The terms and conditions of such engagement are outlined below. We reserve the right to remove you from the CVAS Web Site.
You represent and warrant that the content you provide to us to be published on our site through our data entry forms (a) does not infringe on any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy; (b) does not violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation, including without limitation the laws and regulations governing export control; (c) is not defamatory or trade libelous; (d) is not pornographic or obscene; or (e) does not violate any laws regarding unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising, or (f) does not contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or other similar harmful or deleterious programming routines.
You hereby grant to us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicenseable right, in any media now known or not currently known, to exercise all copyright rights with respect to the content you provide to us to be published on our site through our data entry forms. The foregoing does not apply to any content contained on hyperlinked pages or any other content you do not submit to us.
These terms and conditions set forth the entire understanding and agreement between us with respect to your content and may be changed only in a writing signed by the President of CVAS and the impacted volunteer and/or organization. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without giving effect to its conflicts of laws provisions.
Terms and Conditions for Engagement of CVAS Volunteer
Services are being provided subject to the following terms and conditions:
Fees and Expenses
There will be no fees charged for this engagement, except for “Reduced Fee Audit”. The Organization agrees to reimburse the Volunteer for any direct out-of-pocket expenses incurred at the request of the organization.
Other
Organization and Volunteer agree to furnish a written evaluation of the engagement upon its completion to CVAS.
Organization agrees to cooperate with the Volunteer in the engagement, in scheduling work, and making documents and personnel available, as requested.
Organization and Volunteer agree to this engagement voluntarily, based upon information provided by the Volunteer and Organization to each other.
Organization and Volunteer agree that the Volunteer shall not have authority to sign checks or handle cash of the Organization.
Waiver
By submitting this form the Organization acknowledges: this is a gratuitous referral of a Volunteer by CVAS, and that CVAS does not in any way warrant or guarantee the expertise or technical skills of the Volunteer; that the Volunteer does not represent CVAS; that the Organization specifically waives any claim against CVAS or its agents for any consequences of the Volunteer’s assistance. The Organization agrees that no legal cause of action shall arise against CVAS or its agents for any act or omission by the Volunteer, including, but not limited to, negligent work or unprofessional conduct.
Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions set forth the entire understanding and agreement between us with respect to the Volunteer’s engagement and may be changed only in writing. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without giving effect to its conflicts of laws provisions.
